Ann Parker began professional training in Health Kinesiology in 1990. In November 1993, Ann was one of the first three HK tutors in Europe to be authorized by Dr Scott and has taught HK in the UK, Germany, Australia and NZ. She retired from teaching HK in May 2021.

From August 1996 to March 2003 Ann was a member of the working party that produced the draft for the UK government to set the Kinesiology National Occupational Standards. KNOS was officially recognised by the UK government in April 2003.

Prior to her re-location to Wanaka, NZ, Ann was Head of HK in the UK and co-ordinator for the Open College Network accredited programme (Health Kinesiology Studies) from 2001 to 2008 as well as an elected Policy Board member of the Kinesiology Federation. A graduate of the Queensland Teachers College, Brisbane in Australia, Ann taught for twelve years in mainstream education in Australia and Canada.

In 2010, Ann experienced major shifts in her physical body after a local acupuncturist needled one of the Extraordinary Channels and from then on began researching the role of the Eight Extraordinary Channels in the body’s general energy system. Ann became excited about incorporating the in-depth knowledge gained from studying the acupuncture texts into her existing kinesiology practice. Ann and Sandie Lovell worked together to develop protocols to access the power of these flows. Clients and friends invited to experience the protocols were delighted with the results of the work.

Consequently Ann decided to produce manuals, blending theory with practical work, to provide courses to share the information and protocols with other professional energy workers. The courses APEC 1, 2, 3 and 4 – (Accessing the Power of the Extraordinary Channels) have been taught in the UK since 2011, in New Zealand since 2013 and in Australia since 2015. APEC 1, 2, 3 and 4 are recognized for 16 hours professional development by the Kinesiology Federation (KF) in the UK and the Australian Kinesiology Association has granted accreditation for 16 hours CPE for APEC 1, 2 and 3.

After enjoying an eighteen month senior gap year in Australia, but still taking time out to teach courses in Perth and Melbourne, Ann came back to live in the UK in August 2016 but continued to travel back to Western Australia for several years to teach both the APEC and Health Kinesiology courses. Ann’s first love is and always has been teaching. Since 1993 it has been a joy and a privilege for her to share her knowledge of the Meridian Energy System and train kinesiology practitioners.

Since 2020 Sandie Lovell and Ann devoted their time to teaching and sharing the APEC work with practitioners worldwide via zoom. The online classes run over two weekends from 9.00 to 13.00 UK time. However, Ann has now retired and is enjoying a busy retirement.
